Vocals (Lucy Waring) - Lucy is the bands singer. I am going to get her to write about herself here and as she usually has enough to say to have us listening fo



Trumpet / Guitar (Ben Hoblyn) - Ben plays the trumpet and the guitar. He also needs to write something about himself here so it looks like we vaugly know what we're talking about.



Keys (Hannah Wisdish) - Hannah plays the keys in the band. She's not bad really but again needs to think of something more elaborate to say about herself here...




Bass (Sam Lenord) - Sam is the bass player in the band. Laying down some rock solid grooves, Sam manages to keep everyone locked together in perfect syncronisation and harmony



Drums (Jon Rogers) - Jon basically just makes a racket. He needs to think of a way to say he doesn't but without lying... which could prove difficult.





About The Band

Gold Rush is made up of some of the best young musicians in the Midlands. All of us have received coaching and lessons from some of the most renowned professional jazz players in the country. The band is made up of five or six members – Vocals, Trumpet, Saxophone, Piano, Bass and Drums.

The range of music the band plays is vast and many have complimented our precision and attention to detail in our pieces. With this in mind we are able to accommodate for a wide range of occasions from birthdays, weddings, music festivals, corporate events, balls, the list is endless. We would be more than happy to discuss personal set lists with you to perform at your event. We can guarantee you will not be disappointed!

We have recently received numerous requests to perform dance sets at the end of the night which include a variety of disco and soul classics. These have again proved to be very popular, getting everybody on their feet and in the party mood! It’s a great way to end the evening!

Band History

The band has been together since 2005 with a few changes to the line up along the way. The current line up has been together since 2008. We have played at many events from weddings, private parties, carnivals and opening ceremonies to functions for Rolls Royce.

With all of us having experience in the jazz world, we decided to form a band to fulfil our interests. Our repertoire has grown over the years and we now have a large range of numbers to choose from.


Gear

All gear is provided courtesy of JnS Sound & Lighting Hire. We have audio and lighting gear available to perform for up to 1000 people. This can be scaled down for smaller gigs if you require. All of our gear is top quality, industry standard equipment.
